Dear Parents,

We have arranged for a mobile farm to come into the school to visit the children in nursery. The farm will be visiting us from 10am-2pm on Wednesday 28^th June.  If your child is not normally in on that day, you may bring them along to the nursery classroom at 10am for the morning session, or at 12:30pm for the afternoon session so that they can visit the farm.

The purpose of the visit is to complement our topic Animals. The children will have the opportunity to come into close contact with animals such as sheep and lambs, goats and kids, piglets, miniature donkeys and ponies.  The emphasis is on touching and feeding the animals to build confidence and awareness.  Please let us know if your child has any allergies to animals.

The cost of the visit will be £12.00 per child and this will need to be covered by a ‘voluntary contribution’. Under the terms of the Governors’ Policy on charging, if the full costs are not met by ‘voluntary contributions’ from parents, the visit may have to be cancelled.   Please return the permission slips to a member of the nursery team by Friday 16^th June.  Payments need to be made on SCOPAY via www.scopay.com before Friday 16^th June. You can also make the payment through the SCOPAY mobile app which can be downloaded on the App Store or Google Play by searching for SCOPAY. Please log in with the same details you use for school dinners. If you have a question regarding your SCOPAY account, please email the school office on secretary@owlsmoorprimary.com  If your child is in receipt of Pupil Premium, then the school will cover the cost of the visit in line with the government’s policy on pupil premium.

We naturally hope that all the children are able to participate.  If there is any difficulty with regard to the contribution please will you contact me, as assistance with the contributions may be possible.
