Re: Year 4 School Trip to Ufton Court – Monday 15th July 2019

 

Our topic this term has been the Anglo Saxons. In order to develop the children’s understanding, we will be visiting Ufton Court for an Anglo Saxon experience.  The children will be given the opportunity to experience life as an Anglo Saxon and learn all about crime and punishment at this time!

 

In order for the trip to go ahead, we are asking for a contribution of £19.20. This is a voluntary contribution, but please bear in mind that we would have to cancel the day if we do not receive enough money to cover the costs. Please also note that we require the exact money as we will not be able to give change.  If your child is, or has been, in receipt of Free School Meals funding then the school will pay for the cost of the trip in line with the government’s policy. 

 

We will be leaving promptly at 9.15am so please ensure your child arrives at school on time.  We anticipate that we will return to school for the usual pick up time of 3.10pm.

On the day, the children must wear school uniform, but they can wear trainers as they will be running around within the grounds. The children must wear a sun hat and sun cream, and they must bring a water bottle if the weather is warm.  If the weather changes, they must bring a suitable raincoat.  Please note that the children do not need to bring any spending money on the trip. Children must be provided with a named packed lunch.  You may order a school packed lunch, but please note that they will need to be pre ordered so please indicate this on the permission slip so that it can be arranged.

 

Please return your permission slip no later than Friday 5^th July.  Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to discuss with your child’s class teacher.
