Year 2 Trip to Winchester Science Centre – Tuesday 25^th June 2019

 

As part of our science curriculum this half term we will be visiting Winchester Science Centre to participate in the ‘hands on’ exhibits on site. We will also be visiting the Planetarium and we have booked a workshop called ‘Discover Destination in Space’ to bring our work on Neil Armstrong to life.  

 

The visit will take place on Tuesday 25^th June during school hours. The children will travel by coach leaving at 9.15am and returning to school by the end of the school day. If your child suffers from travel sickness please ensure they have taken any medication for this before school and give your child’s class teacher a labelled envelope for the return journey. The children will need a sensible packed lunch (no fizzy drinks, sweets or products containing nuts) and a bottle of water.  Children in receipt of the pupil premium grant may obtain a packed lunch from school. Children should wear full school uniform including their jumpers. If you would like to volunteer to help, then speak to your child’s class teacher.

 

Please complete the form below and return it with your voluntary contribution of £15.70 no later than Monday 10th June. Please be aware that if we do not receive sufficient funds for this trip the trip will be cancelled. If your child is in receipt of the pupil premium grant, then the school will pay for the cost of the trip in line with Government policy.
