  • Loudmouth Theatre Company to visit year 6.

    23/03/2018 -

    19th February 2018

    Dear Parents

    Helping Hands Programme

    Date: Friday 23rd March

As part of their curriculum, children learn about friendship and relationship issues.

As a school, we are fortunate to have been selected by Bracknell Forest Council to have a theatre company, Loudmouth, visit the children and run their theatre in education programme on positive relationships called ‘Helping Hands’. The session provides a safe and gentle forum to learn how to spot the signs of unsafe relationships and different forms of abuse including Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse, online safety and domestic abuse.

Loudmouth have been working with children and their parents on positive relationships since 1994. ‘Helping Hands’ is an appropriate and well researched programme that helps children learn more about respect in relationships including exploring the sensitive issues of bullying and domestic abuse and where to go for support.

“Brilliant! Child led, interactive and safe. I would recommend this programme to others without hesitation.”                       ChildLine Worker

The programme will take place in our school hall on Friday 23rd March.  Please sign the reply slip and return it back to school by the end of this week.

    Yours sincerely

    The Year 6 team.
